ROAD ADVISORY: Courtney Campbell Causeway to close overnight

Travelers heading to and from Tampa International Airport from Pinellas County should be aware the Courtney Campbell Causeway will be closed in both directions for two nights this week.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of State Road 60 across the Causeway are scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the nights of Monday, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12. Westbound passengers will be able to turn around at Ben T. Davis Beach in order to access Rocky Point businesses.

Please follow all detour signage in the area.

The closure is necessary while workers perform overhead bridge work as part of a pedestrian overpass installation on the Clearwater side of the Causeway.

The dates are dependent on weather conditions; May 13 and 14 are backup dates. Further Causeway closures for work on SR 60 may be necessary on the nights of May 18 and 26, and also June 1, weather permitting.
