Fort Worth is gearing up to celebrate America Recycles Day on Saturday, Nov. 15, and there's still plenty of time to join in the fun. The Environmental Services Department and the Fort Worth Public Library are partnering to host main events at two library locations:
Saturday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m.-noon
The celebration's main events on Nov. 15 will feature live demonstrations, interactive booths, recycling games and hands-on learning experiences to help residents better understand the recycling process. Attendees can take the Recycling Pledge, earn free giveaways and learn more about Fort Worth's curbside recycling program. WM, the City's residential collections partner, will also make a special appearance offering education on their new state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility and showcasing WM recycling collection trucks.
Don't forget to join the festivities at Fort Worth Public Library locations for recycle-themed learning activities throughout the week (Nov. 9-14) leading up to the Saturday main events. These activities include children's story hours, recycled art displays, arts and crafts, ESL classes on recycling topics and much more.
