Gilbert, Ariz. - Gilbert Fire and Rescue is now accepting applications for Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).

Minimum Qualifications
Below is a list of requirements applicants need to have prior to applying for an EMT or Paramedic position.

Transportation Paramedic

• High school diploma or GED.

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.

• To be eligible, incumbents cannot be on the Office of Inspector General (OIG) list of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

• Valid Arizona Driver's License by hire date.

• Possess a current Arizona Emergency Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic at the time of application.

• Possess current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)) certifications at the time of application.

Emergency Medical Technician

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire

• Valid Arizona Driver's License by hire date

• Possess a current Arizona Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certification or National Registry EMT in good standing at the time of application

• Possess a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Professional Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Safety and Health Institute

• To be eligible, incumbents cannot be on the Office of Inspector General (OIG) list of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Public Safety Answers - Testing and Video Interview

Once you have submitted an application to the Town of Gilbert, please apply to Public Safety Answers, the testing application can be found at the end of the page.

Applicants will be asked to complete testing for their applied positions and participate in video interviews with Public Safety Answers.
