Georgia DJJ Holds Graduation Ceremony for Community Services Officers

(Decatur, GA) - The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) hosted a graduation ceremony for twelve new community services officers on Friday, September 5th, at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Georgia.

"Our Community Services Specialists supervise our justice-involved youth in the field by supplying supportive counseling and case management," said DJJ Commissioner Shawanda Reynolds-Cobb. "I am grateful for their dedication and commitment to the youth we serve."

Basic Community Services Training (BCST) is a 200-hour course that provides new Juvenile Probation Parole Specialists with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties in support of the DJJ mission.

The graduating class includes staff from seven Georgia counties: Kennesaw, Macon, Hull, Douglasville, Norcross, Augusta, and Moultrie.
