Pride of the Lions: Chris Sweeney & 2026 Move-In Volunteer Crew

Our August Pride of the Lions recognition proudly goes to Director of Student Leadership and Residence Life Chris Sweeney and the 2026 Move-In Volunteer Crew!

Dear Mount Community,

The MSJ Pride of the Lions Award for August is proudly presented to Chris Sweeney and the 2026 Move-In Volunteer Crew in recognition of their efforts and dedication for this year's Seton Hall residential move-in. Chris and the team went above and beyond to ensure families and students were welcomed from the moment they entered our campus. The move-in process was made easier because of everyone's willingness to jump in, lend a hand, solve problems, and have the mindset of, "Today, we say yes to whatever is needed." -Chris Sweeney

Chris and the team's efforts went far beyond moving belongings to dorm rooms and up the elevators; They made everyone feel like the Mount is home. From the early preparations of housing applications, room assignments, lofting beds, to ensuring hydration stations were stocked with cold beverages and every move-in essential, this team left no detail untouched.

Their teamwork and leadership embody exactly what it means to be the Pride of the Lions, and we are incredibly grateful for all of their efforts to welcome our students home.

Go Lions!

Sincerely,

H. James Williams, Ph.D.
President
