BART Service Advisory: Trackway Vegetation Management on Sunday, December 7

UNION CITY, CA, December 4, 2025 - On Sunday, December 7, crews will perform essential vegetation management to protect the safety and reliability of the BART rail system. To accommodate this work, service between Fremont and South Hayward stations will operate on a single track from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Riders should expect delays of approximately 15-20 minutes.

Additional service impacts include:

  • No Green Line service for the entire day.
  • Union City Station will operate with one open platform only; all trains will depart from Platform 2. Signs will be posted to guide riders to the correct platform.

This temporary service adjustment is necessary to give work crews the space required to safely complete the work, which follows an incident on October 15, when a fallen tree near Union City Station disrupted service for several hours.

The City appreciates the community's patience as crews work to maintain a safe and dependable transit system.
