Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom Issues Statement on Appointment of New Cal OES Director

Sacramento, CA - Assemblymember, Rhodesia Ransom, Chair of the Assembly Emergency Management Committee, released the following statement regarding the appointment of Caroline Thomas Jacobs as Director of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES):
"Congratulations to Caroline Thomas Jacobs on her appointment as Director of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. Her diverse background in emergency management and public safety makes her well prepared to lead at a time when California must remain proactive about emergencies. As Chair of the Assembly Emergency Management Committee, I see this as a pivotal role for our state. I look forward to working with Director Jacobs to strengthen California's disaster preparedness and continue improving how we can protect communities."
