(Houston, TX - October 2, 2026) - Vortex Companies (Vortex), a leading global provider of trenchless water and sewer infrastructure rehabilitation solutions, today announced the promotion of Brandon Gerber from Chief Estimator to Senior Vice President, Estimating.
"Estimating plays a critical role in winning the right work, managing risk and delivering profitable projects," said Ryan Graham, Chief Operating Officer of Vortex Companies. "Brandon has understood that from day one and has instilled that mindset into our estimating teams across the country."
In his expanded role, Gerber will report to BJ Kerstiens, EVP, Services, and lead Vortex's estimating and preconstruction functions. He will also work closely with Services division leadership and key operations personnel to implement streamlined processes to ensure bidding activity aligns with capacity and the company's core capabilities.
Gerber, a 20-year industry veteran, joined Vortex in October 2018 as Senior Estimator and was later promoted to Chief Estimator. "Brandon's background in both project management and estimating had been a tremendous asset and allows him to place a real-world perspective when preparing or reviewing bid documents and proposals, and that's why he's been so successful" said BJ Kerstiens, EVP, Services. "His progression from Senior Estimator to Chief Estimator and now Senior Vice President is a great example of developing our own people and promoting from within Vortex."
"I'm excited to take on a larger role in how we approach estimating across Vortex," said Gerber. "For me, it's about giving our teams the information and tools they need to make good decisions and making sure that what we commit to during the bid carries through to the teams delivering the work."
