Rishab Mahajan Earns Service Award at WEFTEC

About Rishab

Rishab is a Principal Water Resources Engineer based in Illinois with more than 15 years of experience providing clients with cost-effective solutions that blend numerical modeling and data analysis to address stormwater management, regulatory compliance, and dam-safety permits and designs. He has led comprehensive studies in nutrient-reduction planning, watershed and surface-water management, and flood-hazard mapping.

A specialist in mixing-zone studies, Rishab spearheaded multiple investigations in tidal and riverine environments to support environmental permitting. He designs effective stormwater management plans, navigates intricate flood-control projects, and plays a key role in developing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies to revise FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps.

In addition to his service to WEF as Vice Chair of the Watershed Management Community, he coauthored the WEF publication, Stormwater, Watershed, and Receiving Water Quality Modeling.
