Austrian Airlines Selects GE Aerospace FlightPulse® to Expand Flight Data Analytics to the Cockpit

New capability builds on Austrian Airlines' long-standing use of GE Aerospace's EMS for safety and fuel analytics, giving pilots personalized, flight-specific insights

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. - GE Aerospace today announced that Austrian Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, has signed for FlightPulse®, a GE Aerospace, Software as a Service (SaaS) mobile application that connects operational flight data directly to pilot decision-making before and after each flight. The announcement follows a signing at the Farnborough International Airshow.

Austrian Airlines is a long-standing GE Aerospace customer for Safety Insight and Fuel Insight, using GE Aerospace's EMS platform to process flight data analytics today. With FlightPulse, Austrian Airlines can extend the value of those insights beyond historical reports by integrating flight-specific feedback into pilot workflows to support more informed decision-making in the cockpit.

Across GE Aerospace, SaaS, customers have seen a ~15% increase in fuel-saving procedure adoption and ~20% increase in sustainability procedure success rates. By incorporating FlightPulse and Fuel solutions into their workflows, customers have averaged around 5.71M kg CO2 emissions avoided and 1.88M kg of fuel saved in their first year.
