Washington, DC, Jan. 29, 2026 - Today, as the nation marks the one-year anniversary of the midair collision near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) that claimed 67 lives, National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen issued the following statement:

"Today, we pause to remember the lives lost in this tragic accident and to honor their families, loved ones and all who continue to carry the weight of that loss. As an aviation community, we mark this moment with both remembrance and a resolve to learn from it, by taking meaningful steps to strengthen and modernize the National Airspace System and advance its safety, resilience and reliability for the future."
