Napa County - Caltrans continues to implement overnight full lane closures and continuous one-way reversing traffic control on SR 29 between Rutherford Road and Oakville Cross Road in Napa, Napa County. These closures are designed to help construction crews to expedite Phase 1 of the Culvert Project as they replace culverts and stabilize the roadway, with one-way reversing traffic control in place during the process. During Stage 1 of construction, crews will remove the Northbound roadway portion of the existing culvert and replace it with a cast in place concrete box culvert while traffic is shifted into a single lane for use by both directions of travel. Stage 1 is scheduled to be completed by March 28, 2026.
All work is weather dependent. When Stage 2 is underway, two traffic lanes will be available for motorists' use.
Flaggers will be present and Changeable Message Signs (CMS) signs will be posted to help the traveling public. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and please #BeWorkZoneAlert.
Detours signs will be posted.
