This criminal illegal alien entered the country under the Biden Administration
WASHINGTON - The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer asking officials in Miami, Florida to not release a Cuban illegal alien charged with child abuse and arson after allegedly pouring hot wax onto her children and setting a fire in her house.
According to local reporting, on Sunday, August 16, Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call about an intentional fire set in the kitchen of a Miami home. Deputies found Meliza Campos-Sanchez, a criminal illegal alien from Cuba, at the scene. She was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation before being booked into jail. Authorities discovered two videos posted on her Instagram account showing her pouring melted wax onto herself and onto the hands of one of her two daughters. A second video showed her singing and dancing in her kitchen before lighting articles of clothing on fire with a lighter.

She has been charged with TWO counts of neglect child, cruelty toward child: child abuse, and arson. ICE lodged a detainer with the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center the day after she was arrested.
"This Cuban illegal alien is charged with child abuse and arson after she poured hot wax onto one of her own children and then lit a fire in her home," said a DHS Spokesperson. "If it weren't for the Biden Administration's reckless open-border policies, criminals like this woman would have never been able to enter our country. ICE has lodged a detainer asking Miami officials to not release this criminal from jail. We will work with our partners in Florida to make sure she is removed from our country after she faces justice."
Campos-Sanchez illegally entered the United States through Florida in May 2022 under the Biden Administration.
