OCALA, Fla. (May 5, 2026) - Families are invited to explore the Discovery Center's newest exhibit, Treehouses: Look Who's Living in the Trees, and discover the animals that call trees home.
The exhibit opens to the public Saturday, May 23, and will be on display through Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Discovery Center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Discovery Center will be closed to the public for exhibit installation from May 12 through May 22.
Guests can roam from tree to tree and explore the many habitats trees provide for animals large and small. Visitors can search for signs left by raccoons, woodpeckers, bears and other tree-dwelling species, cross a wobbly suspension bridge and climb through two large treehouses.
Interactive experiences throughout the exhibit allow guests to become animal trackers, come face to face with wildlife, move along the Forest Sound Dance Floor, build a treehouse, learn about sustainable logging and explore how trees are used in everyday life.
