President Meloni’s telephone conversation with President Zelensky and other leaders

In the context of the process to reach a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, together with other leaders, participated in a telephone call this afternoon with President Zelensky, on the eve of his meeting with President Trump.

During the conversation, President Meloni shared and reiterated that it is now more important than ever to maintain the unity of views among European partners, Ukraine and the United States, in order to bring almost four years of conflict to an end.

It is only through this solid unity of views that Russia can be held accountable and pressed to show a genuine readiness to sit at the negotiating table.
