This one-time course is hosted on directcarecareers.com and covers:

  • Wages and overtime
  • Paid sick leave and workplace protections
  • Family and health care rights
  • Travel time rules
  • Civil rights at work
  • How to file a complaint
  • How to use the Direct Care Workforce website and DCC platform including:
    • The benefits of participating
    • How your contact information may be shared

Workers will need to create an account on the Direct Care Careers platform in order to get started.

Employers in the industry may face fines of up to $100 for each direct care worker affected by each violation if they cannot provide documentation that their workers have completed the training.
