Last week, One Peak's Partner Christoph Mayer participated in a panel at TechBBQ centered on arming founders with strategies to develop a strong cyber posture for better growth and protection.

Why it matters:

It's not only about mitigating cyber risks for company's own peace of mind but also about unlocking the ability to successfully sell to business and especially enterprise clients in the first place, who need you to comply with the same high standards that they have to adhere to. A strong cyber posture is a pre-requisite, ideally evidenced by the relevant certifications.

Threat levels are increasing in a world that's growing in interconnectedness, digitization and complexity, especially with the rise of Gen AI enabling hyper-personalized cyber-attacks at even smaller scale-ups which were previously not much of an "economically attractive" target for most bad actors.

Most importantly, we look for founders that make a strong cyber posture a firm-wide priority and core part of the company's DNA, with management teams leading by example.
