NCGOP Congratulates Angela Hawkins on Appointment to NC State Board of Elections

The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) congratulates longtime Wake County Board of Elections member Angela Hawkins on her appointment to the North Carolina State Board of Elections.

Hawkins, who most recently served as Chair of the Wake County Board of Elections, brings years of experience to the Board and was sworn in on Thursday, March 5.

"We are thrilled for Angela as she brings years of experience and knowledge to the State Board of Elections and she will do a great job administering elections with fairness and transparency," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons. "Under the leadership of Auditor Dave Boliek, we have been impressed with the the professional conduct of the 2026 primary election."
