Funding Opportunities from UTRF

NHLBI has two active funding opportunities:

Investigators pursuing team science proposals or clinical translation of a therapeutic or diagnostic are encouraged to apply. Deadlines occur multiple times per year. See the NHLBI's funding announcements for details.

Another opportunity particularly attractive for junior faculty who may not yet have the preliminary data typically required for a traditional R01:

The NIH's Stephen I. Katz Early Stage Investigator Research Project Grant (R01; PAR-25-322) supports Early Stage Investigators pursuing bold new research directions-no preliminary data required, provided the work marks a clear departure from their prior research. It's an ideal opportunity for junior faculty looking to launch an independent research path.
