Within the framework of the Third International Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Turkmenbashi, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze.
During the meeting, President Khachaturyan highly praised the good-neighborly and partnering relations established between Armenia and Georgia, particularly emphasizing the mutual trust and respect based on the historical ties formed between the neighboring peoples. The President noted that over the years, the partnership between the two countries has evolved into a stable and effective political dialogue, serving the peace and development of the entire region.
The sides also touched upon bilateral economic cooperation, highlighting the steadily growing trade turnover and the dynamic development of business relations. Both sides emphasized the importance of improving the investment climate, implementing infrastructure projects, and promoting sectoral cooperation-from energy to transport, and from tourism to innovation.
Special attention was drawn to the active mutual visits between the citizens of Armenia and Georgia, described as a living and solid foundation of bilateral relations.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the regional situation and recent developments. Both sides stressed the importance of the principles of peace, stability, and mutual respect as essential conditions for the progress and unhindered development of all states.
