Ongoing Projects
ACUS committees will meet throughout April to develop recommendations in advance of the 85th Plenary Session in June.

Equal Access to Justice Act Update
ACUS released a new report and updated its online database compiling attorney's fee awards made in FY 2025 under the Equal Access to Justice Act (EAJA). Since March 2019, ACUS has been statutorily charged with reporting the amount and nature of EAJA attorney's fees that are awarded to prevailing parties each fiscal year. Reports, as well as data tables and statistics, for previous years are available at www.acus.gov/eaja.
ACUS Statements of Principles
Since its establishment, ACUS has adopted numerous recommendations to assist federal agencies in various processes and procedures. These recommendations address best practices for topics such as agency guidance, public engagement in rulemaking, administrative adjudication, and the disclosure of federal materials. Over the past few years, ACUS has collected and summarized these recommendations by topic to prepare Statements of Principles:
