€100 million from CDP to Turk Eximbank to support female entrepreneurship and post-earthquake recovery in Türkiye

Developed as part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Italy-Turkey summit in April 2025, the operation will contribute to the implementation of sustainable development initiatives and the strengthening of economic and commercial relations between the two countries.

Promoting gender equality, strengthening the productive capacity of local SMEs, contributing to the recovery of entrepreneurial activities impacted by the earthquake in February 2023 and promoting projects oriented towards technological innovation. These are the objectives of the 100 million euro of financing disbursed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) to Türkiye İhracat Kredi Bankası A.Ş. (Turk Eximbank), the official Turkish export credit institution.

This first collaboration follows the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two public development institutions during the Italy-Turkey summit and the related business forum held in Rome on 29 April 2025.

The initiative consolidates CDP's role as the Financial Institution for Development Cooperation, contributing to sustainable economic growth in Turkey and to the strengthening of bilateral economic relations.

With over 40% of the proceeds allocated to businesses led by women or focused on promoting female leadership, the financing marks an important contribution to the 2X Challenge, an international initiative promoted by CDP together with leading financial development institutions to support female economic empowerment.
