LARAMIE, Wyo. - The Federal Bureau of Investigation convened federal, state, local and tribal public safety leaders Monday at War Memorial Stadium for a regional briefing on statewide security priorities.
The event featured a joint leadership panel comprising FBI Director Kash Patel, FBI Denver Special Agent in Charge Amanda Koldjeski, U.S. Attorney Darin Smith, and U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman.
Discussions centered on expanding multi-agency task forces to dismantle drug trafficking enterprises, evolving unmanned aircraft systems, and enhancing public safety efforts on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
"True security isn't built by a single agency working in isolation," Smith said. "We thank the FBI for hosting this briefing and our alliance of local, state, and tribal law enforcement partners. Because criminal networks don't stop at geographic boundaries, this unified approach is exactly how we keep Wyoming communities safe."
Participating agencies leverage shared intelligence and joint operations to successfully target violent crime and narcotics across Wyoming.
