Defence Secretary Presides Over Public Day Programme at Ministry Premises

Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) presided over the Public Day programme held today (19 June) at the Ministry of Defence.

The initiative served as an important platform for retired and disabled veterans, as well as the families of fallen war heroes, to present their grievances and concerns to the Ministry.

During the programme, the Defence Secretary attentively listened to the concerns raised by the participants and instructed the relevant staff to take necessary follow-up action.

The Public Day programme reflects the Ministry of Defence's continued commitment to addressing the welfare concerns of members of the military community and ensuring support for those who have rendered invaluable service to the nation.
