New ASPPH AI Roundtable Series Explores Teaching and Learning

August 26, 2026

ASPPH is launching a new series of virtual AI roundtables focused on practical applications of artificial intelligence in academic public health, complementing ASPPH's framework report, Harnessing Innovation: Artificial Intelligence for Academic Public Health. The first session, "Building Critical AI Literacy in Teaching Public Health Education", will be held September 14 from 1:00-2:00 PM ET.

Each one-hour roundtable will feature practical examples from ASPPH members and peers, followed by facilitated discussion of lessons learned, challenges, and approaches participants can adapt within their own educational settings. Rather than traditional presentations, the sessions are designed to create space for peer exchange and practical discussion.

The series includes four virtual roundtables:

The series advances ASPPH's broader work to support the responsible and effective use of AI across academic public health. ASPPH members can continue the conversation and exchange resources following each session through the MyASPPH MyDiscussions community by opting in on the registration form.

Registration is now open. Non-member affiliated registrants may participate for $35 per session. Participants are welcome to register for one or all four roundtables.
