Statement: Congratulating Alan Armstrong Becoming Oklahoma’s New Senator

GPA Midstream and GPSA issued the following statement in response to the recent swearing in of Alan Armstrong, as Oklahoma's new US Senator:

"GPA Midstream and GPSA congratulate Alan Armstrong on being sworn in to represent Oklahoma in the United States Senate. Armstrong brings decades of leadership in the midstream sector, including his tenure as past president and CEO and current Executive Chairman of The Williams Companies, a GPA Midstream member and one of the nation's leading energy infrastructure operators. Armstrong also served as chair of GPA Midstream's Board of Directors.

As federal energy policy continues to evolve amid conflicts around the globe and the need to meet both domestic and international energy demand, Armstrong's deep experience will provide an important perspective for Oklahoma and the nation. GPA Midstream and GPSA support passage of infrastructure permitting reform legislation this year. Armstrong's background - spanning nearly 40 years in engineering, operations, and executive leadership within the midstream industry - equip him to contribute meaningfully to this complex debate.
