Wichita - On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), spent the day in Wichita touring local businesses, including aerospace manufacturers, a 100% employee-owned ESOP, and a wound healing and limb preservation clinic.

Highlights from the visit include:

C.E. Machine Co.

Senator Marshall also toured the Midwest Drywall - a 100% employee-owned ESOP. The company is headquartered in Kansas and has locations all across the Midwest and the South. Their services include commercial drywall to value-engineering, and Senator Marshall was proud to see and learn more about how their ESOP functions and continues to work with them to pass legislation that continues to support this style of business.

Dr. Justin Gooden, MK Wound Healing and Limb Preservation Clinic

Senator Marshall also visited with Dr. Justin Gooden, a Scott City native and University of Kansas School of Medicine graduate, at his freestanding wound healing and limb preservation clinic in Wichita. Dr. Gooden shared how his clinic is delivering specialized care to help Kansans heal chronic wounds and avoid amputations, including mobile services that bring care directly to patients. Senator Marshall appreciated the clinic's patient-first approach and will continue working to ensure Kansas providers can keep delivering the best possible care without Washington policies undermining access.
