Minister Tajani on ENI-YPF talks for liquefied natural gas exports from Argentina
In his opening speech at today's Italy-Latin America and Caribbean Conference, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani referred to the importance of economic cooperation with the continent, particularly in the energy sector, which is central to the Italian and Latin American economies.
In this regard, Minister Tajani referred to the ongoing contacts between ENI and YPF: "I welcome the news of significant progress in the contacts between ENI and the Argentine company YPF for the project to export liquefied natural gas from the Vaca Muerta basin". The project is expected to enable the production and export of LNG, amounting to approximately 12 million tonnes per year.
