After careful consideration and a review of county expenses, Commissioner Michelle Lincoln has relocated her office to an existing government building in District 2, reducing taxpayer costs by eliminating rent, utilities, and other overhead expenses.
Beginning Thursday, Oct. 2, and on the first Thursday of every month thereafter, she will host dedicated office hours at Big Pine Key Community Park. As always, and to ensure a continued presence, she will continue attending community events throughout District 2, which encompasses the north end of Marathon from behind the Marathon airport through Rockland Key.
"I understand having a Lower Keys office is important, and I want to make sure you know I remain fully committed to being available as I always have been," said Lincoln. "These monthly office hours, combined with my availability by phone, email, and appointment, mean residents will have every opportunity to connect with me and share what matters most to them."
Lincoln, whose district spans 44 miles of the Florida Keys, added that she welcomes invitations to meet in additional locations throughout the district as needed. Residents can reach Lincoln or her assistant, Kacey Hunt, for questions, concerns, or to schedule an appointment at 305-292-4512 or [email protected].
