DALLAS - Dallas ISD is hosting a districtwide college fair for juniors and seniors beginning at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Ellis Davis Field House. Students and parents will receive admission and financial aid information from universities and colleges, as well as insight on various post secondary opportunities.

Broadway Dallas inspires future creators in Dallas ISD
For the fifth year, the district and Broadway Dallas will host Dallas ISD Day with the theme "HADESTOWN" at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17. Approximately 3,200 middle and high school theater students will attend a performance of The Wiz, gain exposure to STEAM careers in technical theater, and some will take part in designing a headdress and costume for a show character. The student's work will be displayed throughout the Music Hall during the run of the show.
Visuals: Surprise grants support school needs
This afternoon, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Arts Academy educators received a $10,000 grant donation from United to Learn and the College Football Playoff Foundation. Five teachers each received a $1,000 grant for classroom needs and the school's principal received $5,000 to support the school. This donation comes after the school was impacted by flooding that affected supplies and materials throughout half of the campus.

Construction Services pop-up event
Dallas ISD will host a Bond 2026 planning pop-up event at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Margaret B. Henderson Elementary School. The event is open to all, and designed to gather community input on future bond planning. Guests can explore hands-on demos, share bold ideas, and help shape the future of Dallas ISD schools.
