Today, mail-in ballot drop-off locations across California open ahead of November's crucial Proposition 50 election. A reminder: Proposition 50 gives Californians a chance to level the playing field and fight back against Trump's rigged congressional maps. The DNC is all hands on deck to support the California Democratic Coordinated Campaign and ensure Democracy prevails in November.
The DNC's voter protection team, in partnership with the California coordinated campaign, is ensuring voters have all the information they need to make voting early easy. If Californians have questions, they can call the CADEM's voter assistance hotline at 877-321-8683 or go to IWillVote.com, which is also available in Spanish at VoyAVotar.com.
The DNC has invested heavily in the California Democratic Coordinated Campaign to support Proposition 50, including deploying our bilingual volunteer organizing team to make calls and send texts in English and Spanish.
In response to the kick-off of early voting in California, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
"As voters begin to drop off their mail-in ballots today, Democrats are fighting to protect free and fair elections, while Donald Trump is trying to rig Congressional maps after kicking millions of Americans off their health care. Trump knows how unpopular his agenda is, which is why he is trying to cheat. Proposition 50 is crucial for fighting back, and that's why the DNC is supporting the California Democratic Party's fight to pass this initiative in November."
