DNC Congratulates Democratic Nominee Rep. Gina Hinojosa on Her Victory in the Texas Democratic Gubernatorial Primary Arrow

Tonight, the DNC congratulates the new Texas Democratic gubernatorial nominee, Gina Hinojosa, along with the rest of the Democratic candidates who clinched victory across the state and will represent the Democratic ticket in Texas in November.

Across Texas, voters nominated Democratic candidates who are focused on lowering costs, protecting health care, and standing up for working Texans in all corners of the state. With critical races up and down the ballot, the DNC will support the Texas Democratic Party, Rep. Hinojosa, and our tremendous statewide Democratic ticket as we prepare to compete and make inroads across the state.

In response to Rep. Gina Hinojosa's victory in the Texas Democratic Gubernatorial primary, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

Hinojosa is a champion for the Texans who have been left behind by Greg Abbott's twelve years in power. During her time in the legislature, Rep. Hinojosa fought relentlessly for families across the state - lowering costs, protecting public schools, looking out for workers, fighting for voting rights, and taking on Republican extremism that puts billionaires first and working Texans last. Rep. Hinojosa has never been afraid to take on Greg Abbott and Austin's culture of corruption - and she isn't backing down now. Between now and November, the DNC will be on offense for Rep.
