State Route 4 - Lane & Ramp Closures
Long-Term One-Way Traffic Control At Old River Bridge

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Long-term, 24-hour, one-way traffic control will be implemented on SR-4 at the Old River Bridge for construction through November 2026.
    • Vehicles measuring over 34 feet in length are strongly recommended to seek alternate routes. SR-12 or Interstate 205 are highway alternatives between Discovery Bay and Stockton.
    • Plan Ahead: 55-hour full highway closures from Roberts Road to Old River Bridge scheduled for July 10-13 and July 17-20, 2026.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from eastbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway to southbound Interstate 5 for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway to southbound Interstate 5 for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on-ramp closures from Stanislaus Street, Wilson Way and Filbert Street to westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for pavement work beginning Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on-ramp closures from El Dorado Street and Stanislaus Street to eastbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for pavement work beginning Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Interstate 5 - Ramp & Lane Closures
Closures From Charter Way To Sacramento County Line

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full on-ramp closures from SR-4/Charter Way to northbound and southbound I-5 for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from northbound I-5 to eastbound and westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from northbound I-5 to eastbound and westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 19, through Saturday, April 25, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for construction beginning Sunday, April 26, through Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
  • Overnight, alternating full on and off-ramp closures at Hammer Lane, Eight Mile Road, SR-12 (Flag City), Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Walnut Grove/Thornton Road for construction beginning Sunday, April 26, through Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).

The above listed lane and ramp closures on I-5 between Hammer Lane and the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are required as part of the I-5 Anchor Pavement Project that will improve 34 miles of existing pavement and shoulders from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line. The project will also replace on- and off-ramps with upgraded concrete at Eight Mile Road, State Route 12, Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Thornton Road/Walnut Grove Road. Overnight Closures For Construction In Manteca

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 99 (SR-99) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on southbound SR-99 from Jack Tone Road to SR-120/Manteca Bypass for construction beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 120 (SR-120) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, connector ramp closures from westbound SR-120/Manteca Bypass to northbound I-5 for electrical work beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.

Interstate 580 - Ramp Closures
Overnight Closures At Patterson Pass For Construction

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 580 (I-580) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on eastbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on westbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Sunday, April 26, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
