Volusia County Details Labor Day Service Adjustments

In observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7, Volusia County administrative offices and select County facilities will be closed, while other services will be adjusted or continue operating on regular schedules.

Public Libraries
All Volusia County Public Library branches will be closed on Labor Day.

Trash Collection for Unincorporated Areas
There will be no change to garbage, recycling, yard waste, or bulk waste collection for residents in unincorporated Volusia County on Labor Day. Residents with a normal Monday collection schedule should place items at the curb by 6 a.m. as usual. Residents living within incorporated areas should check with their municipal waste provider for any holiday service adjustments.

The West Volusia Transfer Station and the Tomoka Farms Road Landfill will also operate on their regular schedules.

Public Transit
VoTran and VoAccess will operate on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, while VoRide service will not be available.

DeBary Hall, Lyonia Environmental Center, and Marine Science Center
DeBary Hall, Lyonia Environmental Center, and Marine Science Center will be open to visitors during the holiday weekend before observing their regular Monday closures on Labor Day.

Volusia County Animal Shelter

The Volusia County Animal Shelter will be closed on Labor Day.
