New EV Charging Station in Downtown Parking Ramp

The City of Sioux City has installed a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station on the 2nd level of the Martin Luther King Jr. Parking Ramp, located at 6th Street and Nebraska Street, expanding the City's accessible EV charging infrastructure.

The EV charging station is a ChargePoint level 2 dual-port charger providing 19 kW to two EV-dedicated parking spaces, located on the 2nd level of the parking ramp. The area will be restriped in Spring 2026 to accommodate more accessible parking.

Level 2 charging rates are $2.00 per hour with a max rate of $8.00 per day.

This station provides downtown users and visitors with additional options to charge their electric vehicle while supporting the City's sustainability goals.
