Summer Reading Program Certificate Presentation

Last week State Representative Nicole La Ha presented the participants of her annual Summer Reading Program with their certificates of recognition. Following the event, she released the following statement:

"Tuesday night at the Lemont Public Library, I had the pleasure of presenting Certificates of Achievement to the incredible students who participated in my Summer Reading Program. While not everyone was able to attend, I'm so proud of each and every reader who took on the challenge and I'm grateful to the families and library staff who helped make this program a success.

I launched this initiative to encourage students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade to keep learning alive during summer break. The goal was simple: read 10 books (longer books could count as two)!

Reading opens the door to imagination, knowledge, and lifelong learning. I'm thrilled to support our young learners and will continue this program to inspire learning, curiosity and growth."
