LAS VEGAS - A record number of security experts representing a cross section of industry and government partners from across North America attended the 14th annual grid security conference last week. GridSecCon, hosted by NERC, the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) and WECC, featured expert keynotes, breakouts and training sessions. The conference concluded with the announcement of the 2025 E-ISAC Electricity Security Service Award in honor of Michael J. Assante.
Throughout the event, experts from across industry and government provided insights into the security landscape facing our critical infrastructure. The opportunity to have more in-depth discussions was also provided through breakout sessions focused on topics such as integrating crisis communications into cyber incident response, how utilities can harness cloud technology and artificial intelligence to improve cyber resiliency and energy security, and defense strategies that can be used to protect critical infrastructure from advanced cyber threats.
