Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin Presents The Copy of the Letter of Credence

On January 7, 2026, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin presented the copy of Credence to Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya.

Yang conveyed Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's warm greetings to Abdullah Al-Yahya, stating that over the past 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Kuwait have always treated each other as equals and moved forward hand in hand, becoming good friends who stand by each other and sincere partners in cooperation. The two heads of state have maintained close interactions, providing irreplaceable strategic guidance for the steady development of China-Kuwait relations. He said he would faithfully perform his duties, actively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, fully committed to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, and promote the China-Kuwait strategic partnership to a higher level.

Abdullah Al-Yahya welcomed Yang Xin on his assumption of office and asked him to convey his best wishes to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He stated that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, Kuwait-China relations have developed rapidly with broad prospects for future cooperation. The Kuwaiti side firmly adheres to the one-China principle, appreciates China's constructive role in promoting peace and development in the Middle East, and is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in all fields to bring greater benefits to both countries and their peoples.
