Three Washington Attorneys Selected as 2026 Super Lawyers “Rising Stars”

Washington Associates Logan Peppin, Cornelia Brandfield-Harvey and Tadeu Velloso have been named 2026 "Rising Stars" by Washington Super Lawyers, a designation that recognizes top legal talent under age 40 with 10 years or less in their practice. No more than 2.5% of total lawyers in a state can receive the "Rising Stars" designation.

Peppin concentrates her practice on class action defense of privacy lawsuits. With a focus on defending healthcare entities against class actions in both state and federal courts, she manages a high level of detail in matters pertaining to alleged common law and statutory privacy violations including, but not limited to, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act, California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, Washington Privacy Act and Washington Health Care Information Act. Peppin is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Brandfield-Harvey is an experienced litigator with a broad and diverse practice spanning complex commercial, class action and employment litigation. Her experience includes matters involving Washington's Commercial Electronic Mail Act (CEMA), the Fair Labor Standards Act, employment discrimination and wage-and-hour law, data privacy, white collar matters and insurance bad faith. She has represented individuals, companies and organizations and government entities in state and federal courts and has substantial experience managing cases through every stage of litigation, from early case strategy and discovery through dispositive motions, mediation, settlement negotiations and trial. Brandfield-Harvey is licensed to practice in Washington, Texas, Oregon and the District of Columbia.

Known for his practical, business-oriented approach, Velloso advises clients and coordinates multidisciplinary teams on complex commercial real estate transactions across the transaction lifecycle, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, incentives and portfolio management. His experience spans a variety of real estate assets, including commercial, industrial, storage facilities, fulfillment centers, hospitality, office and data centers. Velloso partners with and guides clients to navigate every stage of a transaction, from due diligence, risk assessment, contract negotiation, land use and entitlement issues and the shepherding of transactions through complex closings. He is particularly experienced in supporting clients expand by supporting the development of delivery stations, sortation centers, fulfillment facilities and other operation-critical assets.
