SCO Secretariat's delegation participates in "Yerevan Dialogue"
On May 5-6, 2026, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia a delegation of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation led by Deputy Secretary-General Batir Tursunov took part in the international forum "Yerevan Dialogue 2026."
The event opened with welcoming speeches Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of France Emmanuel Macron, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.
SCO Deputy Secretary-General took part in a panel session "Regional Subsystems as Shock Absorbers in the Transformation of the International System,". In his remarks he presented the SCO's approaches and priorities amid tectonic shifts in international relations and highlighted the important role of regional cooperation in strengthening stability and security.

Minister for Gender Equality, Political and Economic Empowerment of Women of the Republic of Serbia, the Director of Partnerships and Global Issues of NATO, as well as heads of research and analytical centers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the United States also took part in this panel session.
The "Yerevan Dialogue" is a political discussion platform in the field of international relations that was established in 2024 by the Government of Armenia.
