111,412 passengers fly through ABE in July

(Hanover Township, PA) - In the midst of a momentous summer season, Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) is celebrating record-breaking travel activity.

Last month, 111,412 passengers used ABE - the highest monthly traffic level on record an 8.55% increase from the previous July.

"The surge of passengers hasn't slowed down since vacation season started in mid-May. We appreciate the dedication of airport staff as they've worked through sizzling summer temperatures to deliver a comfortable and convenient customer experience," said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, American Airlines jumped 39.1%, Delta Airlines was up 8.7%, and Allegiant increased 5 %. Meanwhile, United Airlines dipped 17.6% compared to last July.

"Lehigh Valley International Airport continues to demonstrate why it is one of the premier regional airports and a major economic asset in the Lehigh Valley. This record-breaking growth reflects the dedication of ABE's leadership and staff to expanding service and connectivity while creating new opportunities for residents and businesses across our region," said Senator Nick Miller
