Continuing its annual celebration of Earth Month, the City of West Hollywood will host a Strategic Streetscapes Symposium, an engaging event that explores the fundamental role that urban design, programming, construction, and policy initiatives play in supporting healthier and more dynamic urban environments.
The Symposium will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the City of West Hollywood's Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided. Limited validated parking will be available at the adjacent West Hollywood Park five-story parking structure. Advance RSVP is requested via Eventbrite: go.weho.org/strategic-streetscapes.
The event will bring together thought leaders, designers, planners, and community members to examine how creative thinking and innovative design strategies can help shape strategic streetscapes that enhance livability, mobility, and public space activation in densely populated cities.
Through a series of curated talks and guest presentations, the event will highlight urban design strategies applicable to West Hollywood that support economic vitality, strengthen social gathering spaces, expand green infrastructure and wildlife habitats, modernize public infrastructure, and improve wayfinding and pedestrian navigation throughout the City's streets and public spaces. By bringing together thought leaders and community members, the event aims to foster dialogue on creating vibrant, resilient, and people-centered streetscapes.
