On 31 October 2025, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, met with Don Williams, Vice Chairman of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employer' Confederation, and Dr. Leo V. Rolle, CEO of the Chamber. Mr. Peng Jing, Commercial Attaché of the Embassy attended the meeting.
Ambassador Yan commended the Chamber for sharing their experiences and outcomes of attending seminars held in China. Yan briefed the 4th plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, highlighted China's bright development prospects, stated that the formulation and implementation of the Five-Year Plan is a prominent institutional advantage of China's governance.She emphasized China will continue to expand high-level opening-up and share opportunities with countries around the world. Yan also provided an overview of the APEC CEO Summit and the meeting between Chinese and U.S. leaders.
The Bahamian guests commended China's social and economic development achievements, noted that Chinese modernization offers valuable experience and opportunities for countries worldwide. They expressed willingness to promote exchanges between the business communities of the two countries and contribute more to their peoples.
Both sides reviewed their previous cooperation and held in-depth exchanges on future collaborative efforts.
