His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Nabil Fahmy following his election as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

In the message, HM the King extended His warm congratulations to Fahmy for the confidence placed in him by the member states of the League, in recognition of his competence and strong leadership skills demonstrated throughout the high-level positions he has held, both in his brotherly country and on the international stage.

The Sovereign conveyed His sincere wishes for success in Fahmy's new responsibilities at the head of the Arab League and expressed His confidence in the effective contribution of Secretary-General to strengthening joint Arab action in a manner that meets the aspirations of Arab peoples and helps them address the various challenges facing them at the regional, sub-regional and international levels.
