Secretary-General of ASEAN gives an interview to the Ministry of Civil Service of Cambodia

On the sidelines of the Heads of Civil Service Meetings of the 23rd ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) and the 8th ACCSM+3, on 5 August 2026, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, shared his views on the ACCSM's achievements during the interview with the Ministry of Civil Service of Cambodia.

SG Dr. Kao underlined that the Meetings reaffirmed ASEAN's collective commitment to placing citizens at the centre of public sector innovation. He emphasised that the work plans of ACCSM and ACCSM+3 for 2026-2030 featured initiatives that aim to strengthen digital governance through ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, enhance digital competencies and productivity, as well as modernise human resources management in the public service, among others.
