Newly Appointed Army Commander Pays Courtesy Call on Deputy Minister of Defence

The newly appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Nilantha Premaratne, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), at the Deputy Minister's Office in Colombo today (05 August).

The Deputy Minister congratulated the Army Commander on assuming office as the 26th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, during which they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

The occasion concluded with the exchange of mementoes to commemorate the occasion.
