City of Fairfield seeks applications for the Landscape Oversight Committee

The City of Fairfield is accepting applications to fill two seats on the Landscape Oversight Committee for Districts 2 and 4. This Committee has a representative from each of the six districts and one at-large representative for a five-year term. The Landscape Oversight Committee application is open until the position is filled. Applicants must be residents of Fairfield. Mayor Rick Vaccaro will appoint the committee members with the approval of the City Council.

The Landscape Oversight Committee provides fiscal oversight and reviews the Public Works Department's landscaping management throughout the city. The committee's primary focus will be improving the effectiveness, transparency, and financial oversight of the 16 Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance Districts. The Committee will review the annual budgets, projected expenditures, and assessment levels and provide management oversight.

Applications are available at the City Clerk's Office at Fairfield City Hall, 1000 Webster Street, 4th floor.
