Curse of Ula'tek Housing Updates: New Blueprints, Pets, and More Arrive for Your Home

The Curse of Ula'tek update brings new ways to shape, share, and settle into your Housing space. With Blueprints to save and swap your favorite builds, Pet Beds to welcome your trusted companions indoors, and a variety of new updates to expand your decorating options, your home is ready for a little more personality.

Blueprints Let You Save, Share, and Swap Your Home Designs

Blueprints let you capture a favorite Housing layout and keep it ready for whenever inspiration strikes. Save a single room, your interior, your exterior, or your entire home, then swap between builds any time you want to refresh a space, test a new idea, or return to an old favorite without rebuilding it from scratch.

You'll find Blueprint options at the top of your screen, where you can import a shared code or save one of your own layouts. When importing, you'll see the required rooms and decor, the budget needed, what you already have, what you're missing, and other helpful details before anything changes; dyed items are also handled thoughtfully, prioritizing the right colors where possible without replacing items you've already dyed.

How to Save and Share a Blueprint

1. Open the House Editor, then select the Blueprint options at the top of your screen.
2. Choose whether you want to save your full layout, interior, exterior, or current room.
3. Save the Blueprint to your collection, then find it later through Saved Blueprints in your House Chest whenever you want to swap back to that layout. You can go back to your House Dashboard (H) anytime to view your Blueprints in their own tab.
4. To share your design, use Share in Chat or Copy to Clipboard to send the Blueprint code to other players.
5. To use a shared design, paste the Blueprint code into the Import window and review the required rooms, decor, budget, missing items, and other details before importing.

When you're ready to show off your handiwork, you can export a Blueprint and share it with other players, including across regions (outside of China.) Blueprint codes can be linked and inspected directly in chat, shared with friends, guildmates, neighbors, and fellow decorators, or swapped through the official forums when you're looking for a little inspiration for your next great renovation.

You can save up to 50 Blueprint layouts, with 10 additional auto-save slots available to help protect those "wait, I might want that back" moments. Auto-saves are created when you import a Blueprint, and a new Export permission-set to 'no one' by default-lets you decide who can import a copy of your layout into their own save slots.

And if you're ready for a full redecorating day, a new Reset option will place items back into storage for your whole house, interior, or exterior so you can start fresh and build your next great idea from the ground up.

Pet Beds Give Your Companions a Place to Paws

Purchased from new neighborhood vendors Perry Winkles in Founder's Point and Agratha in Razorwind Shores, Pet Beds let you show off your favorite noncombat companion pets both inside your house and throughout your outdoor space. Place a bed using the House Editor, then assign a pet to a Pet Bed using the Customize mode and let your loyal companions add a little extra life to your decor-whether they're keeping watch by the hearth or claiming the perfect patch of sunlight outside.

Once you exit the editor, you'll be able to see your pet interacting with your home or outdoor space.

Perry Winkles and Agratha can be found in houses near the quest hub in your neighborhood where they will sell you a variety of pet beds. These items all cost 50 Gold each so you can stock up on your favorites.

You can place up to 100 Pet Beds indoors and up to 50 Pet Beds outdoors. Indoor pets can be set to Stationary or Roaming, while outdoor pets are Stationary- for now- giving you control over where your companions linger, stroll, or quietly supervise your latest decorating choices.

A small number of pets won't be available to place, but there are still plenty of companions ready to settle in, curl up in a favorite spot, and make your home feel a little more lived-in.

More Room to Make Your House a Home

The Curse of Ula'tek update also gives your home more room to grow, with house levels now reaching 12. As you continue building up your space, you'll unlock increased limits, large exteriors, and more opportunities to shape a home that fits your vision-whether that means a carefully curated retreat, a grand estate, or something that started as "just one more room" and somehow became a full renovation.

New Artisanal Room plans can also be purchased from the General Contractor in each neighborhood, with four new rooms each for orc, human, night elf, and blood elf styles available for Community Coupons. If you're looking to bring a cross-faction style into your home, neighborhood smugglers will have those room styles ready for decorators with an eye for something a little more unexpected.

Once purchased, you'll need to use the item to learn the room plan to add it to your room options.

A Fresh Coat of Dye and a Better Way to Find Your Decor

Dye crafting has been streamlined to help free up bag space, giving you more room for the important things-like emergency snacks, sentimental quest items, and whatever else you swear you'll need later. When you log in to Curse of Ula'tek, old dye pigments and housing dye items in your inventory or bank will convert through in-game mail, and dyeable decor will show all available colors-including new options and darker appearances from before the 12.0.5 content update-without requiring a separate item for every shade. Housing dye pigments are also being retired, so alchemists and scribes can turn herbs directly into housing dyes at the dye station through a simpler set of dye categories.

You'll also find a few new ways to browse and build, with new decor categories for Vines and Hanging Plants as well as Pet Beds. Whether you're adding a touch of overgrowth to a quiet corner or making sure your companions have a proper place to flop, these additions make it easier to find the right finishing touches.
