The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the next installment of its Move, Meet & Motivate fitness series, continuing throughout August with free, community-centered classes held every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Designed to promote wellness, outdoor activity, and community engagement, the monthly series welcomes residents of all ages and fitness levels.
This Saturday, August 15, the department will host a Yoga session led by an experienced yoga instructor at the Riverwalk Amphitheater, located at 355 Coosa Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle, yoga mat, towel, and a friend.
The remaining August schedule includes a variety of themes aimed at encouraging movement and community connection:
• August 15: Yoga - Riverwalk Amphitheater
• August 22: Dance Fitness - Riverwalk Amphitheater - Does not require a yoga mat
• August 29: Community Walk & Mobility - Shakespeare Park, 1 Festival Drive - Does not require a yoga mat
The Move, Meet & Motivate series, which launched in July, has already received a warm response from residents. Each session offers an opportunity to stay active, enjoy Montgomery's outdoor spaces, and connect with neighbors in a supportive and uplifting environment.
The Parks and Recreation Department looks forward to another month of movement, motivation, and meaningful time spent together as this popular fitness series continues.
