Walberg Votes to Strengthen Defense and Improve Quality of Life for Servicemembers

Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) released the following statement after he voted in favor of and the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2027.

"The United States faces a growing threat of national security challenges every day, and our military must have the resources, training, and capabilities necessary to keep us all safe," said Rep. Walberg. "The NDAA for Fiscal Year 2027 will help rebuild the arsenal of freedom, restore peace through strength, and support our brave servicemembers. The legislation enhances the quality of life for servicemembers by increasing their pay by 5 to 7 percent, as well as improving housing, education, and access to childcare for military families. It also prioritizes investment in the forces and capabilities needed to strengthen deterrence and improve military readiness to maintain a strong U.S. posture."
